Peru Bans Gay Cops

"In Peru, Interior Minister Mercedes Cabanillas has banned gays from the police force.

The new law states that anyone who has sexual relations with someone of the same gender will be indefinitely suspended from the police force.

But the law doesn't stop there!

The same goes for people who cheat on their spouses, and people who organize and participate in strikes or protests.

So basically, if you're a cop in Peru, you've given up a lot of your basic rights…even as you're supposed to be protecting the rights of others.

When can we finally evolve and learn to see people as…well, people."

Homophobia is Gay
